Early intervention

Hi! My baby is almost 8 months and doesn’t roll over either way on his own or push up on hands or knees. He sits up but needs assistance to assure he won’t fall. He just got evaluated by EI and they told me he likely won’t qualify…in your opinion is that enough to qualify?

In my state, in order to qualify for early intervention, the therapist will need to calculate a percent delay based on a standardized assessment. If the child meets the criteria, he or she will likely receive services. Did you get the evaluation back yet?

Yes I did! He was delayed in pt but since ot and social were wishing standard normals he didn’t qualify  and unfortunately our insurance has a high deductible so private pt is about 150 a session which is a lot and adds up quick
