Does Inchworming progress to actual crawling

My 6 month old has been inchworming all over the place, the last two weeks or so. I’m curious if this is a natural progression to crawling or if I should be supporting her to crawl correctly.

Hi @Mamayoung1005 If your baby is able to extend fully on his arms (with straightish elbows) while in tummy time and when pivoting in circles, and is just starting to move forward in an inchworm manner, that’s very typical early on as baby is starting to build up the strength and coordination for crawling.

We would be more concerned in later months (8/9 months) if baby couldn’t extend onto full arms and couldn’t maintain a quadruped (all fours) position at all.
