In case you forgot, the clocks will “fall back” an hour when we’re all sleeping tonight! Unfortunately for us, that means are kids are likely going to wake up an hour “earlier” than usual (the clock will say 6 am, but their bodies will feel like it’s 7 am).
But don’t worry, I have a plan for you to navigate sleep this week! Check out my blog post below:
This is soooo helpful, thank you!!! So far we are doing ok as far as temperament, but I would like to get on a better schedule because my little on his waking up too early. I was dreading this time change, but I will use these tips you suggested in the blog.
@ViaGraces I’ve been struggling a bit with my toddler…I’m going to try these tips, especially for the morning, but what happens if he cries and wakes his older brother up? They share a room.
Room sharing can certainly make things trickier! My girls are 3 and 1 and have been sharing a room for about a month and a half now, so I totally get it! Exactly how old is your toddler and his brother?
If your toddler is 2 or older, introducing a toddler clock would be super helpful to give him that boundary around morning wake up time. Our Hatch Baby Rest has been a lifesaver, as my 1 year old wakes up a bit earlier than my 3 year old. My 3 year old used to wake up when her sister did, but would still stay in bed quietly until her clock changed colors. Now I think she’s immune to her sisters noises, so she generally sleeps right through!
